At the Australian Center on China in the World (CIW), the ANU College for Asia and the Pacific is funded by the Australian Commonwealth Government. George E. by then Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in April 2010 After Morrison's lecture, the world was established in Australia and China, in which he said:

A place where scholars, thinkers and policy experts can engage in a whole board approach that engages history, culture, literature, philosophy and cultural studies in active engagement with people working on public policy, environment, social change, economics.

CIW is committed to advancing multidisciplinary research that draws on the best traditions of both the humanities and the social sciences, and is associated with the policy-making community of bureaucrats, diplomats and politicians sitting at our doorstep in Canberra . The center is also committed to sharing the diversity of scholarship related to China at ANU on a broad public, national and international level.
