International House About

The International House is where academic success and personal development are enriched by cross-cultural education and a sense of internationalism.

With a diverse community made up of students from nearly 40 different nationalities, International House offers a global perspective in living and learning. Based on inclusivity, this is a place where friendship, academic education and personal development allow you to become a true global citizen.

International House is a residential college owned by the University of Melbourne. We bring together 300 undergraduate and graduate students from Australia and abroad, and create a community dedicated to academic success, mutual understanding and personal development. We are more than just student accommodation near the University of Melbourne.

International House Scholarships

The scholarship recognizes educational potential, financial need or contribution to the community. Some scholarships are awarded to students in specific degrees; Or from specific countries or regions, including regional Australia. Other scholarships are open to any student studying at any university in Victoria.

All scholarships are awarded for the entire academic year 2021.

Domestic students include Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents and New Zealand citizens. International students are considered students who pay international fees for scholarship purposes.

Admission scholarships are only offered to students who have not already started university studies in Australia or abroad.

Students apply for the scholarship by submitting a single application form, and will be considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.

Potential community contributions to the International House are demonstrated through prior contributions to school, volunteering or community service.

Scholarship fee reduction is applied proportionally throughout the time of scholarship payment.

All scholarship holders are required to obtain a minimum 65% in semester 1 2021 to maintain their scholarship in semester 2.
